Ray Daniel Williams

Ray Daniel Williams, 64, was peacefully called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his residence. Born on March 24, 1961, to Daniel and Vonda Williams, Ray spent his life walking in faith, serving others, and shining the light of Christ in all he did. On August 15, 1981, Ray married the love of his life, Bonnie Williams. For 45 beautiful years, their marriage stood as a testimony to God’s love—filled with unwavering devotion, shared joy, and abiding faith. Their union was blessed with two children, Daniel and Amanda, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Ray’s greatest joy in life was his family. He often said his family was his greatest blessing, and he lived to create memories that would linger in their hearts long after he was gone. A man of integrity and tireless work ethic, Ray was an entrepreneur and founder of Williams Tree Service, where he joyfully worked alongside his son Daniel and, in more recent years, his daughter Amanda. Working with his children was more than a career—it was an opportunity to create lasting memories and pass on wisdom rooted in both experience and faith. Ray’s closest companions throughout life were his beloved wife, Bonnie, his faithful brother-in-law, Jeff, and his dear sister, Yvonne. The four of them shared a bond built on love, laughter, faith, and fellowship. Together, they traveled to witness the beauty of God’s creation through sightseeing, worshiped, and walked through life’s seasons—creating memories filled with joy and spiritual growth. Their friendship was a gift from God, a source of strength, and a reflection of the beauty found in true, Christ-centered relationships. A faithful member of Denham Freewill Baptist Church, Ray spent his life as a humble servant of the Lord. His greatest passion was sharing the Gospel and ministering to those in need of God’s saving grace. He walked in truth, lived out his faith, and loved with the compassion of Christ. His life was his testimony—full of kindness, gentleness, and light. Ray’s love for Bonnie was a sacred reflection of God’s covenant love: steadfast, sacrificial, and enduring. When the Lord called Bonnie home on December 14, 2023, Ray’s heart was broken, but his hope remained firm in the promises of Heaven. We take great comfort in knowing that now, Ray and Bonnie are reunited—hand in hand, walking the streets of gold, worshiping the King of Kings for all eternity. Ray found beauty in simplicity. Whether he was listening to bluegrass Gospel music, worshiping at church, or sitting on the front porch with loved ones, his heart overflowed with gratitude. He often said, “I’m so blessed”—and those who knew him were just as blessed in return. Though our hearts ache in his absence, we rejoice in the eternal hope we have in Christ. Ray is now in the presence of the Lord—completely healed, fully restored, and forever at peace. As Jesus said in Luke 10:20, “Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.” Ray’s name is surely written there, and one day, we will see him again. Ray is survived by: His children: Daniel (Kristi Huddleston) Williams and Amanda (Brandon) Wall. Grandchildren: Taylor Moss, Shawna Williams, Brody Wall, Tristan Williams, Natalee Wall, Jayda Williams, Kamryn Huddleston, Jaelyn Huddleston, and Jackson Koske. Great-grandchildren: Gannon Moss and Brielle Moss. Siblings: Yvonne (Jeff) Attinger, Ruthie (Karl) Taylor, Rosemary (Joe) Minix, Walter Williams, and Dennis Williams. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Williams; his parents, Daniel and Vonda Williams; his brother, Richard Williams; and his grandparents, Eldridge and Rosie Rowe. A visitation will be held on April 11, 2025, at Denham Freewill Baptist Church in Denham, Indiana, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Central Time). A funeral service celebrating Ray’s life and faith will follow at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time).
