With the heaviest of hearts, the family of John Paul Jackson, Jr. of Medaryville, announce his passing on April 19, 2025. John was born in Knox, Indiana and was 63 years old at time of his passing. John's parents John "Jake" Jackson, Sr. and Kathleen "Kathy" Owens both preceded him in death. John enjoyed farming from a young age but his passion was driving semi-trucks. He drove every type of semi-truck from cab-overs to his last truck, "Taz", a beautiful Peterbilt 379 which he owned and operated for several years with great pride. He logged well over a million miles throughout his career. He married the love of his life, Darcy J. (Mason) Jackson on April 18, 1992. They met in 1990 and spent the remaining 35 years at each other's side through thick and thin, sickness and in health. Some of their happiest times were spent surrounded by family hosting gatherings at the pond John built because of Darcy's love of fishing. John hosted a 4th of July celebration with family and friends every year and loved every minute of that day. John was blessed with, and survived by, three children, Kevin (Nichol) Jackson, Sarah Jackson and Andrew Jackson and four grandchildren, Kaleb Hickle, Emily Jackson, Savannah Jackson and Taylor Banks. Also surviving are his five siblings, Brenda (Darrin) Messer, Cheryl (Rob) Beiswanger, Duane Jackson, Jeremy (Jessica) Jackson and Timmy (Katie) Jackson as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at O'Donnell Funeral Home in North Judson. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.. All times are in CST.
