Dale Lee Grube

Dale Lee Grube went home to Jesus on January 25, 2021 at age 82. Dale was born to Elenore (Little) and George Clare Grube on November 21, 1938 in DeKalb, IL . As a child, Dale and his identical twin brother Dean got into many shenanigans, including catching a field of corn on fire and stopping a train with their new flashlights. Dale Graduated from North Judson High School where he excelled in football, basketball and track coached by his Uncle Virgil Little. Dale married his high school sweetheart Dorothy Jean Lemke July 16, 1960 in Riverside CA. They had three children Brenda Jane, Damon Lee and Andrew Dale. There he worked as an electrical engineer. In 1976 moved his family back home to North Judson where he bought and ran “Grube’s Service Station” until he retired. In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, Dale loved to watch his children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and their children participate in sports and various school activities. Throughout his entire life, Dale held an unwavering faith in Christ, which he shared with those who surrounded him. Dale and Dorothy became foster parents beginning in the 1980’s and took into their home many children, mostly teenagers. Three of those children became permanent members of the family; Darrell Minix, and brothers Bill and Casey Clifford. Dale is preceded in death by parents George Clare Grube and Elenor (Little) Grube, brother Dean Grube, and granddaughter Erika Nichole Stone. Also, In-Laws William and Donna Lemke; Brother-in-Law Jerry Fingerhut. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of North Judson IN, Children Brenda and husband Eric Stone of Columbus OH, Damon and wife Christine of Westfield IN, Andrew and wife Becky of Cincinnati OH, Darryl and wife Angie of San Pierre IN, William and wife Melissa of North Manchester IN, and Casey of Pendleton IN. Grandchildren Brandon Stone; Daniel, Joshua and Jacob Grube; William and David Grube; Kendall, Taylor, Halle and Hayden Minix; Haley, Ella and Vida Clifford; and Lilly Clifford. Great grandchildren Chester, Jack and Reign Elder; and Landon Reed. Brother and sister in-laws Shirley Fingerhut, Carol and Ron Mee, Don and Deb Lemke and Gail and Mark Little. A home going celebration will be held later this spring.
