Richard Junior Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard Junior Williams, 57, of Monterey, Indiana passed away in his home on October 18th, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Karen, along with their 4 children, Sarah (James) Williams, Elizabeth (Brett) Dolezal, Richard (Misty) Williams, and Drew (Britni) Williams, his father Dan Williams, and siblings Ray (Bonnie) Williams, Yvonne (Jeff) Attinger, Ruthie (Karl) Taylor, Rosemary (Joe) Minix, and Dennis Williams. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren who knew him as “Pappy”; Alyviah, Hannah, Bentley, Mackenzi, Zoey, Wyatt, and Tessa. There are also many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vonda Minix. Richard was born on October 3, 1964 in Winamac, Indiana. He married his love, Karen, on June 9th, 1984. They welcomed two daughters and two sons, his greatest joy. He was a dedicated general foreman for Consolidated Fabrication Inc. for over 30 years. There, he mentored many and was recognized for his outstanding service, earning the “BP Gold Coin” award for safety and awareness. He took pride in his work and will live on through those he taught. He was a simple man that found happiness in the little things, like backyard grilling and good old country music. His hands were rarely still. You could often find him in the garage with a wrench in one hand and an MGD in the other. You could always count on him to come help in your time of need and give you the shirt off his back. As we mourn him, he would say “Don’t sweat it bub, don’t cry sis.” In his memory, let’s all do the things we keep pushing off. So take your kids fishing, throw that barbecue, have that family dinner, and most importantly, love each other. A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Thursday, October 21st at 5 CST at St Luke Community Church 302 W Eliza St. San Pierre, IN 46374. Food and memories will be shared in fellowship hall following the service.
