Anna Ruth Jernas

Anna Ruth Jernas, Age 95 of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of North Judson, IN, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 25, 2015. She was born to Mary Irene (Regnold) and Harry Jordan on May 10, 1920 in Knox, IN. June 10, 1939 she married Chester Frank Jernas who preceded her May 9, 2007 after 68 years of marriage. She is survived by three children, son C. Jerome (Sandy) Jernas of North Judson, IN, two daughters Beverly Ann (Robert) Salyers and Joy Lynn (Kevin) Smith, both of Indianapolis. 9 grandchildren and 17 Great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Edward Jordan and a sister Edna Bacewic. She was preceded by a sister, Bertha Singleton and a grandson, Jared Clagg. She and her husband retired from farming in 1968. She was a devoted wife, equal farm partner, homemaker and 4-H Leader. Friends may call from 4-8 PM CT Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc., North Judson, IN and after 10 AM CT Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the church. Funeral Services will be 11 AM CT Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, North Judson, IN. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, North Judson, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either, St. Peter Lutheran Church 4 G Fund or St. John Lutheran Church, Indianapolis, IN Ladies Aide.
